We use only the highest quality Sapim Brass Double Square nipples when building custom wheels. Brass nipples will be the strongest and longest lasting spoke nipple option. They are slightly heavier than alloy spoke nipples, but we always recommend them over alloy nipples as they will be the most reliable. Alloy nipples simply are not durable enough for most mountain bike wheelsets.
